My Gluten Life

I'm an advocater of a Gluten free life, well as little of it as possible. Many people had asked me why and I often answered about the benefits in relation to how I feel and they can't see that! So I embarked on a gluten experiment....
I was completely gluten free for 4 weeks (28 days) and then when finished proceeded to eat my diet of 3 years ago which contained bread, pasta, pizza, cake , biscuits etc (as well as the good stuff). Within 2 weeks not only was my body not as effective as when I was gluten free but the inlfammation that gluten causes manifested itself in very aggressive acne on my back. I have never been an acne sufferer so this really freaked me out.
I continued a 'normal' diet for 8 weeks. By that time on a visit to the doctor I showed him my back and he prescribed me tablets as the acne was close to scaring. I didn't take the tablets as I knew what the problem was. I removed gluten and within 4 weeks my back returned to normal. This is an external problem of gluten so imagine the inflammation from gluten your body has to deal with on a daily basis. If you want to optimise yourself, take the plunge.
You can see the difference in the pictures of my back which are 3 months apart.
